Run a blog you’re proud of? We’d like to see it. Submission is free, and every blog we accept gets a hand written listing with real editorial scores. Here’s how to give yours the best shot.
What makes a blog easy to say yes to
The blogs that sail through review share a few traits. They’ve been publishing for a while and still are — a living archive matters more to us than daily frequency. The writing is the author’s own, with a voice you couldn’t mistake for a content mill. There’s a person discoverable behind it, even if they write under a pen name. And the site itself is pleasant to visit: loads fine, reads fine on a phone, doesn’t bury the words under ads.
Age and size matter less than you’d think. A two year old blog with forty genuinely good posts beats a ten year old blog coasting on its archive.
Filling in the form
The form asks what your blog is about, who it’s for, and why it stands out. Specific answers help the reviewing editor enormously. “Honest long term reviews of budget hiking gear, tested on trail” tells us exactly what to check; “quality content on various topics” tells us nothing. Point us at two or three posts you’d want a first time reader to see.
What happens next
Your submission joins the same review queue as blogs our own editors scout. An editor reads your blog — the review process is described in How We Review Blogs — and if it’s accepted, we write the listing ourselves and score it under our rating principles. We don’t publish your form text verbatim, and because of volume we can’t reply to every submission; if your blog appears in the directory within a few weeks, that was a yes.
After you’re listed
Listings aren’t set in stone. If your blog moves, rebrands, or levels up, email [email protected] and we’ll refresh the listing. Scores get revisited on re review, so improvement shows up over time. And if you’d rather not be listed at all, write from an address at your blog’s domain and we’ll take the listing down.
